Terms of Service

TaskPine is an online marketplace. Hosts post jobs at their properties, and independent providers offer to do them. TaskPine provides the platform, handles payments, and supports both sides, but TaskPine does not perform the services itself.

Providers are independent businesses or individuals, not employees, agents, or contractors of TaskPine. Each provider decides which jobs to accept, how to do the work, and what price to offer.

• You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract.
• Give accurate information and keep it current.
• Keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• One person may use the same account as both a host and a provider.
• We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, create safety risks, or are used for fraud.

• Describe jobs accurately, including timing, scope, and any hazards.
• Only post jobs at properties you own, manage, or are authorized to arrange work for.
• Give the hired provider safe, lawful access needed to do the job.
• Review completed work promptly and approve it, or open a dispute if something is wrong.

• Only accept jobs you are qualified, licensed (where required), and insured (where required) to do.
• Do the work as agreed, safely and professionally, and upload honest proof of completion.
• Use property addresses and access details only to do the hired job, and never share them.
• You are responsible for your own taxes, permits, equipment, and insurance.
• Complete Stripe's payout setup to receive payments.

• Hosts pay the agreed job price plus any customer service fee shown before payment. Providers receive the job price less any provider commission shown in the app.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. By paying or receiving payouts, you also agree to Stripe's terms, including the Stripe Connected Account Agreement for providers.
• When a host pays, TaskPine holds the payment as “Payment secured.” The provider's payout is released after the host approves the completed work, or as decided in a dispute.
• Fees can differ by market and may be reduced or waived by a membership. Current fees are shown on the pricing page and at checkout.
• Hosts and providers who meet through TaskPine agree to arrange and pay for jobs they found through TaskPine on TaskPine, and not to move payment off the platform to avoid fees.

A job can be canceled before work is completed. If payment was already secured, TaskPine reviews the cancellation and refunds the host, or pays the provider for work already done, depending on the situation.

If a host and provider disagree about a job, either can open a dispute in the app and add evidence such as photos. TaskPine reviews the job history, messages, and evidence, and may refund the host in full or in part, release payment to the provider, or both. TaskPine's decision on how secured funds are released is final for that job.

• The host and the hired provider can each leave one pinecone rating after a job finishes, within 14 days.
• Ratings stay private until both have reviewed, or until the 14 days pass. After that they are public on profiles.
• Reviews must be honest and about the job. We may hide reviews that are abusive, discriminatory, fraudulent, or unrelated.

• Memberships renew automatically each billing period until canceled. You can cancel anytime from your billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
• Pine Rewards points (“Pinecones”), credits, and promo codes have no cash value, cannot be sold or transferred, and may expire or change. We may remove rewards earned through fraud or abuse.

• Illegal, unsafe, or discriminatory jobs or behavior.
• Harassment, threats, or misuse of another person's property or information.
• Fake accounts, fake jobs, fake reviews, or fake proof of work.
• Trying to access accounts, data, or parts of TaskPine you are not authorized to use.

You keep ownership of photos, descriptions, messages, and reviews you post. You give TaskPine a license to host, display, and use that content to operate and promote the marketplace. Don't post content you don't have the right to share.

TaskPine does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any job or service, or the conduct of any user. Verification badges only mean that a specific document was reviewed; they are not an endorsement. TaskPine is provided “as is” and “as available,” to the fullest extent allowed by law.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, TaskPine is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for property damage, injury, or loss caused by hosts or providers. TaskPine's total liability for any claim relating to a job is limited to the fees TaskPine received for that job.

We may update these terms. If changes are material, we will update the effective date and notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use TaskPine after that means you accept the updated terms.
